David "Glenn" HOLLOWAY

July 18, 2014

October 4, 1944 – July 18, 2014

Glenn died peacefully at home, surrounded by the love of his family, after a 9 month battle with cancer.

Born and raised in Victoria, Glenn and his family moved to Campbell River in 1974 where he opened the accounting firm of Holloway and Co. His kindness and compassion led Glenn to volunteer for many years with Home Support and later the Hospice Society. Glenn always felt so fortunate to be living in such a beautiful part of the world and spent many hours sailing, biking, cross country skiing and RVing with his family. Friends and family will truly miss Glenn’s wonderful sense of humour.

He leaves to miss him so very much, his wife Lyn, his son Paul and daughter Lee (Dale), and wonderful grandson Alex; his cousin in Victoria, Barb Elliot and niece in Kelowna, Lisa Gerber. Also his parents-in-law Mil and Fred Tupper and brother and sister-in-law, Gord and Sue Tupper. Glenn is predeceased by his parents, Ted and Elspeth and sister Gail.

The Holloway family would like to thank home care nurses, Barb and Marlene, and Hospice for all their help and kindness. And to our many wonderful friends who helped and supported us through Glenn’s illness, our heartfelt thanks. Glenn always said how lucky we were to have such good friends.

For those who wish, donations may be made in Glenn’s name to the Campbell River Hospice Society.

A celebration of Glenn’s life will be held at Painter’s Lodge in the Granny Painter Room, August 9, 2014 at 1:00 PM.
