It is with great sadness to announce the unexpected passing of Daryl in St. Pauls Hospital following surgery.
Dad was the ultimate husband and father, logger, hunter and fisherman. He also enjoyed camping with the family, golf, and spending time at the ball park. He could put his hand to any task around the home and was a very intelligent man who was always keen for knowledge. He offered advice and a helping hand to all who were fortunate to know him. Dad’s great sense of humor, firm handshake, and kindness was respected, loved and admired by all.
He leaves behind his devoted wife Maureen, whom he loved unconditionally, sons Michael (Debi) and grandson Landon, David (Audrey), all of whom he was immensely proud.
Daryl also leaves his brother Gary (Sharon), daughter Brenda and her family Brian and Kyle, along with close family members Sandra, Dennis, Karen, Scotia and Cassidy, Tara, Craig, Bryce and Joel, Lois, Jim, Brooke and Mark and many special friends.
Dad will be dearly missed by everyone but especially his family as he was our loyal companion and best friend. His huge presence in our lives can never be forgotten.
A gathering for family and friends will be held on Sunday November 12th, 2006 at the Dolphins Resort from 2:30 to 5:30pm.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Campbell River SPCA or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
