It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather Daryl Norman Burt. Daryl was a true West- Coaster, born and bred. He was devoted to his family, his work, and his beloved dogs; his happiest hours were spent with his wife, children, and grandson. Daryl had a gentle way about him; a quiet, caring soul who always put everyone else before himself, no matter what. Most of his working life was spent amongst friends, driving trucks for Howie and Randy Davis and Gerry Moxley. Daryl loved quietness, preferring the “bush” over the city every time. Walks with his dogs, play time with his grandson Peanut, and quiet dinners with his family pretty much summed him up. Daryl is survived by his loving wife Deborah of 36 years, daughters Alaina (Richard) Dugas and Michelle, grandson Mason (Peanut), father Norman, brother Gerald (Diane), sister Jennifer (Stewart) Lamont, mother-in-law Carol Bacon, sisters-in-law Penny (George) Tilley and Jackie Bacon, brothers-in-law Daniel (Bev) Bacon and Nick Bacon, and numerous nieces and nephews. Daryl is predeceased by his beloved mother Marilyn (2015) and step-father-in-law Trevor (2013). A Celebration of Life for Daryl will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 1:30-4:30 p.m. at the Eagles Hall in Ladysmith, BC. Donations made in Daryl’s memory to the Campbell River Partners for Animal Welfare Society (CR PAWS) would be appreciated. Thank you all for you love, support, and comfort during this diffcult time.
