D'Arcy Eugene de Hart (87) passed away peacefully on January 23rd, 2021. Born in Vancouver March 11th, 1933.
D'Arcy survived by his wife Donna (65 years of marriage), daughter Shannon (Terry), son Doug (Sandra), grandchildren Ryan (Katka), Nicole, Michael (Jenna) and Bradley. His brother Bill (Margaret) and brother-in-law Nick and their families.
D'Arcy put himself through Forestry School and landed his first Forest Service role in Mission 1955, many transfers included Hope, Pemberton, Pender Harbour, Victoria, Gold River and Campbell River where he retired as District Manager in 1988. D'Arcy worked as a Forestry Consultant for the following 15 years.
When not at work D'Arcy enjoyed travelling, the friendships he made at the Gold River Volunteer Fire Department, Curling Clubs, Storm Hockey games and Citizens on Patrol. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, skiing, and golfing. D'Arcy loved his dogs.

Thank you to the staff at the Nanaimo Hospital and Parksville Trillium Lodge for their compassionate care, to the Campbell River Home and Community Care and Nurse Next Door staff for their support, as well to Dr Walker, Dr Farias and Dr Prinsloo.
