It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Daniel H. Brown, affectionately known as "Danny". He is survived by his loving wife, Ruth, of 59 years; his devoted children: Colleen Peluso, Christopher (Julie) Brown, and Laura (Jim) Boyce; his beautiful grandchildren: Brent Peluso, Jenna (Robbie) West, Danielle (Reid) Nichol, Kevin (Trish) Attfield, and Michelle (Jeff) Drake; and his precious great grandchildren Neko and Eloise.
He leaves to mourn his adoring sisters: Dale Brown of Windham Hill, N.S., Bernadette Forrest of N. Delta, B.C., Delma Peck of Sparwood, B.C., and his special brother in law, John (Carol-Ann) Barrett of Campbell River, B.C.
Danny also leaves behind many cousins, and was a favourite uncle to his nieces and nephews.
Born in Springhill, Nova Scotia to Hilton and Christena Brown and raised in Windham Hill, Nova Scotia, Danny was the eldest of 7. He is predeceased by all 3 brothers: Jack, Ted, and Carl Brown.
Danny lived life to the fullest. His passion for volunteering in the community did not go unnoticed. Through his amazing energy, kindred spirit and positive outlook on life he was an inspiration to all who knew him.
Please join the family for prayers on Friday, April 5 @7:00 pm and a Catholic Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, April 6 @11:00 am with a reception to follow at St. Patrick's Catholic Parish Centre, 34 South Alder Street, Campbell River, BC.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Danny to St. Patrick's Parish Building Fund, 34 S. Alder St, Campbell River, BC V9W 2M8 or the Museum at Campbell River, 470 Island Highway, Campbell River, BC V9W 4Z9.
