November 30, 1940 - June 21, 2019
On June 21st we said our saddest goodbyes to a dearly loved husband, dad, grandpa and great grandpa. Dans love of the open road lasted his whole life, and he spent his last working days here on the Island driving bus to the mine. In his retirement he loved his golf, his dogs and the Toronto Blue Jays.
He is survived by his beloved wife Val, children; Jacqueline, Cheryl, Stuart and Angela, step children; Nicola, Debbie, Victoria and Jennifer, 20 grandchildren and 3 great grand daughters.
Dan fought his cancer with determination and humour for 13 years. It did not slow down his many road trips, RVing and fun and laughter with family.
Huge thanks to the girls at the Cancer Clinic, and the nursing teams on 3rd floor.
There will be no service at Dan's request, but please do have a beer and watch a Jays game and say farewell.
