Constance Anne Garbe
January 12, 1951 - October 5, 2009
Constance Anne Garbe passed away peacefully at the Campbell River Hospital on Monday October 5th 2009 with her loving family by her side after a short illness. Pre-deceased by her Parents Paul & Marie Dudar. Connie will be forever loved and missed by her husband Wayne, daughter Susan (Mark), sons Robert (Tammy) and Thomas
(Chelsea). Grand-children Tay-lee, Jordan, Braydon and Rheanna. Connie is also survived by her loving sister Nancy
(Bryan). Conya was a true Mom to all. Moving to Campbell River from Toronto when she was only 29 years of age. Conya worked as a Cook at the original Sonora Lodge and was involved in the design and development of the new Sonora Lodge. Conya also worked for many years at the Cafe California. Conya assisted by her daughter Susan opened TooGo’s restaurant which they ran successfully for four years. Just prior to her last illness Conya worked as a cook at Ricky’s restaurant. Connie was “Mom” to many friends she made during her lifetime and her loss is keenly felt by all who called her “Mom”.
A Memorial Service to Celebrate the Life of Constance Anne Garbe (Conya, Connie, Con, Mona or “The Dragon”) will be held on the Dingwall property in Sayward, BC on Saturday
the 10th October 2009 at 2.00pm. Please turn left at Sayward Junction and follow the signs to the Dingwall property. If friends so desire to bring flowers to her service,
