The family of Colleen Horlyck, extend an invitation to celebrate her life on Friday, April 24th, 2009 at the Anglican Church at 11am followed by light refreshments.
Born in Vancouver, Colleen spent the majority of her life in Campbell River, though after getting married enjoyed four years in Denmark getting to know her Danish family in the early 1970’s. She was a wonderful sister, wife, mother and friend and will be greatly missed by all those she touched. You could not find a more compassionate or generous soul who always thought of others before herself. She will be greatly missed by the “lab rats” from the Campbell River Hospital and her husband and children will especially miss her endless supply of knitted socks, homemade soup and old quotes from Nanny.
Colleen enjoyed life to the fullest with family and friends, but after a lengthy illness passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 15th, 2009.
Special thanks to the extraordinary home care nurses Marlene and Barb for their exceptional care, the nurses on 3rd floor north and to Dr Ramsey whose house calls made all the difference.
In lieu of flowers, Colleens wish was for donations to be made to the Campbell River Hospital Foundation.
