BASKIN, Chester Thomas "Butch"
May 31, 1928 – April 12, 2014
With sadness in our hearts, but admiration for his strength, we announce the passing of our dear father at the age of 85.
Predeceased by his wife of 51 years Ruby, in 2013; parents Thomas & Harriet Baskin; sisters Betty & Irene; son Danny Dionne; daughter-in-law Elaine; sons-in-law Gil & Dave; nephews Rob & Brent and great-great granddaughter Gracelyn.
He is survived by his daughters Patty (Ed) Fleming, Carol Smith, sons Rick (Karen) Dionne and Marcel (Mo) Dionne all from Campbell River. Daughter-in-law Donna Dionne; brothers Bob (Betty) Baskin, Mervin (Joan) Baskin, Jack Baskin and sister Lois Nordin, 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to the second floor nurses at New Horizons for their kindness and compassion.
You will be deeply missed; however, we are comforted knowing that you & Mom are together again.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 24th at 1:00 p.m. at the Legion Hall in Campbell River.
