It is with great sadness that we announce that Charles Paul John (aka Charlie, Charlo) passed away peacefully at home with his loving family by his side.

Born September 23, 1944 in Trinidad, Charles then married Ann in 1971. They eventually moved to Campbell River and have been here for the last 30 years.

Charles worked as an Electrician at Westmin Mine, he was involved in the boxing, soccer, table tennis and garden communities.

Predeceased by son Sean in January 2007, he is survived by his loving wife Ann, daughters, Eva, Yvette, Malinda and son Sherlan, grandchildren Sasha, Vanessa, Rysen, Shaquan, Sean Junior, Austin, N’Dae, Landon, Shenilee, Milan (aka Tiny) and Elijah, and his brothers and sisters; Verna, Gloria, Frankie, Ann, Ray, Cliff, Debbie, and Joy

We would like to extend our thanks to all of the friends and caregivers that took care and supported Charles, and a special thank you to Dr. Michael Meckin.

A celebration of Charlie’s life

will be held

Sunday, September 30th, 2007

at 5:00pm.

at Campbell River

Baptist Church,

260 S. Dogwood Street.

Reception to follow.

Viewing

Saturday September 29th

at 6:00pm

at Sutton’s Funeral Home.


In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Campbell River Boxing Club. A Bursary will be given to a youth in Charlie’s name.
