Catherine Margaret Scheurig, 76, passed away peacefully at home in Courtenay, B.C, on February 12, 2025, after facing terminal cancer with strength and grace.
Born in Braintree, Essex, UK, Catherine traveled the world with her beloved husband, Gerd, working in hospitality before settling in British Columbia to raise their family. She loved adventure, exploring unique places, and embracing life's experiences.
She is survived by her husband, Gerd; daughters Natalie Walker (Jeremy) and Stephanie Hudson (Robert); grandchildren Logan, Jenna, Olivia, Cora-Lee, and Cole; brother Nick Wareing; and many extended family members. She was predeceased by her parents, Paul and June Wareing, and brother Mark Wareing.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the SPCA.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
