Catherine Daisy Munro

June 6, 2004

Munro,

Catherine Daisy

After many years of battling lung disease, Catherine Daisy Munro peacefully passed away at the Campbell River Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, on June 6, 2004.

Pre-deceased by husband Bob in 1996, she will be sadly missed by daughter Lorraine, son-in-law Doug, granddaughter Vicki (Matthew and Alicia) and granddaughter Brenda (Ray and Andrew). She also leaves behind her younger sister, three nephews and one niece in Scotland, as well as a niece in California.

Cath was born in Glasgow, Scotland on November 18, 1924. In 1957 with husband Bob and daughter Lorraine, she immigrated to Powell River, B.C. where Bob was employed at the local pulp mill until his retirement in 1988. In order to be closer to family, they made a much welcome move to Campbell River in 1994. Residing in her beloved ocean view apartment, she was able to enjoy several years of cherished tranquility.

An exceptionally warm, loving, caring Mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Cath will be so sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Very special thanks to Dr. Smith, Dr. Wood and the third floor nursing staff for the dignified and caring attention they displayed. Also, our gratitude is extended to long time friends Bev Silvey (& family) and Glenda McKenzie for their wonderful in-hosptal support.

By request of the deceased, there will be no funeral or memorial service. Donations may be made on her behalf to the B.C. Lung Association, 2675 Oak Street, Vancouver, B.C. V6H 2K2 (604-731-5864).
