The Davis & Rafnkjelson Families regretfully announce the passing of Carol Forbes. November 6 1950-September 7 2016 Carol will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her partner of 33 years Eric, by her sons Jason and Sam, Daughter Tamara, Dad George, Sister Laurel and Brother Robert. There are also numerous other family members and many, many friends that will miss her dearly. Carol was very family oriented and truly loved being a grandmother. Carol was passionate about life, had an adventurous spirit, a big heart and infectious smile. She loved nature, boating, fishing, camping, back yard gatherings and watching the antics of the eagles with Eric from the comfort of their back yard. She enjoyed the many different trips they took together, returning to the favourites of Mexico, Costa Rica, and Cuba. She also travelled many times to Key West for visits with her daughter and family. Carol was also an avid reader, enjoying books from a very young age. She was in her element when she worked with the literacy program. her contribution was noted when she received the Literacy Award for BC in 2004. Her dedication to her work came from the heart and was rewarded by the obvious high esteem her former students showed her by the endless hugs and smiles they greeted her with. The Family thanks Dr. Jansen for his constant care. The care from the nurses and staff throughout the hospital, the homecare nurses and workers who were efficient and kind. A gathering in her honour will be held at the Lions Den on Ironwood Road on September 24th from 1-4 pm. Only parking on the street is allowed. Thank you for adhering to this restriction.
