September 3, 1933 - October 15, 2021
Born September 3 1933 in Carmangay Alberta Died October 15, 2021 in Campbell River BC.
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Carl William Douglas Carl served in The Royal Canadian Mounted Police Force 1952 to 1955. Then from May 1956 to August 1963 in the Canadian Army. And eventually after opening Action Repair Service for commercial refrigeration and appliance repair retired in Campbell River.
He is survived by his wife Diane Douglas, his little brother Grant, seven children, 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and one on the way.
He was a man that wore many hats including his loved beret. Throughout his 87 years he touched many hearts and lives and will be greatly missed.
He passed on his love of Harley's and animals to his children and grandchildren.
Carl has requested a ride to one of his memorable spots, Head Bashed In Buffalo Jump to spread his ashes. We would like to thank all the staff at Evergreen Assisted Living for the wonderful passionate care Carl received.
A celebration of life will be held early Spring as a mid island camp out for all those that would like to join us.
"WE LOVE YOU MORE PAPA"
