Burt passed away on December 28, 2008 in Campbell River. He is pre-deceased by his father Boyd Fuerst (1961) and his sister Sheila Wilks (2003).
Burt is survived by his much loved family; wife Judy, step-children Dean Deloli and Deb Dudych, grandchildren Ryan & Jesse Deloli, Antonio Apostolakos & Tristan Dudych, mother Thelma Kerr, sister Rhonda (Joe) Brown, brothers Ritchie (Birgit) Fuerst, Ryan and Scott Fuerst. Niece Carrie (Sancho) Colina and nephews Boyd (Deena) Fuerst, Jason Fuerst and Ryan Merrill and families.
Burt was born in North Vancouver and worked in the logging and fishing industries and recently as a painter. He loved Vancouver Island and lived in Port McNeill, Courtenay and Campbell River. In the last 5 years, he found a passion for Kayaking and was happiest when he was on the ocean. He loved the outdoors and made friends wherever he went. He was much loved and will be greatly missed.
A private family service will be held at a later day in Lynn Valley.
