Bruce Carlton SAUNDERS

September 3, 2007

SAUNDERS,

Bruce Carlton

March 1, 1929 – September 3, 2007

It is with sadness that we announce Bruce’s passing on September 3, 2007 at CRGH. Born March 1, 1929 in Kimberley, BC and raised in Chemainus, Bruce moved to Ocean Falls in 1948 where he met his wife Anne (predeceased) of 47 years. Bruce moved to Campbell River in 1952 and worked for Elk Falls Mill until retirement in 1989. He was a part of numerous organizations including many years as chairman of the School Board and president of the CR Recreation Association. He was outspoken and always had a “letter to the editor” in the works to view his opinion. He loved golfing with his friends and was passionate about his garden. Bruce will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his children Rhys (Sandy) and Tracy (Mark), sisters Joan and Diane, grandchildren Austin, Carter and Paige, extended family and many friends.

We extend our thanks to all the friends and caregivers that supported Bruce.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday September 15th at St Peters Anglican Church, 228 Dogwood St. Campbell River.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the ALS Foundation or charity of choice.

“In memory please register as an organ donor and take a friend to lunch”. BCS
