It is with great sadness that the family of Brigitte Larocque announces her passing on Friday, September 1st, 2017, at the age of 85 years.

Brigitte was born in Dusseldorf Germany and began her working career in Germany as a seamstress and achieved her "Prufungszeugiz" in 1949. As a tall and charming young woman, she gained notoriety in her trade and modeled for Coco Chanel.

Brigitte had many interests including working as an "extra" in local films and supporting the SPCA. Her working career included: Executive Assistant at the Discovery Inn, Matron with the RCMP and as a "Cops on Patrol" volunteer. Brigitte was the owner/operator of Brigitte's Deli in Campbell River. Brigitte loved cooking and feeding her family and was a devout Baptist.

Brigitte will be lovingly remembered by her son Andy Schwanicke, daughter in-law Charlotte and granddaughter Kristi. Brigitte was predeceased by her husband Ted Larocque.

Brigitte had a variety of benevolent interests. Memorial donations may be made to the local SPCA, and Salvation Army.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday October 21st at the Campbell River Baptist Church, 260 S Dogwood St, Campbell River, BC. (Fellowship Hall, lower entrance, north side).
