After a brave struggle with cancer, we sadly announce that Brian took his last breath at home surrounded by his wife and other family members.
Brian was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and moved to Surrey, BC in 1971. He moved to Campbell River in 1978, when he took over the management of Kirks Auto Parts. In 1985, he returned to Coast Tractor where he continued until his retirement in 2004. After travelling across Canada for five months, he returned to work at York Machine until June 2006.
He treasured the many friends he made through work, as a Charter member of the Willow Point Lions Club and also through his Fishing Charter business and boating.
Brian’s memory will be forever cherished by his loving wife, Adele, and his children, Brian (Taryne) Cockriell, Connie
Nugent, Linda (Vince) Courville, Steve Nugent, Shelley Ashley, Wendy (Dwayne) Lotnick, Tim (Suzanne) Kudoba and Jeff Kudoba. He leaves to mourn his treasured grandchildren, Candice McFayden,
Brandon Ashley, Graham
Hanaka, Lorenzo Cockriell, Amanda Courville, Tara Ashley, Samantha Lotnick, Tyler Spiers Courville, Terry Courville,
Damian Kudoba, Zane Cockriell and Kimberly Lotnick. He will also be remembered and sadly missed by his sister Karen (Ron) Perry, nephews Mark and Trevor Perry, other extended family and an abundance of friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Willow Point Hall on Saturday, November 11, 2006 at 1:00p.m. Following the service, the Willow Point Lions Club will be serving refreshments.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Willow Point Lions club or the Cancer Society.
Brian, your gentle, loving spirit lingers in our hearts. We will always remember your selflessness and amiable way.
