Brian (Bluey) Edmund Bastock passed away, Thursday, February 18th, 2021 at the Campbell River Hospital.
Brian was born February 1st, 1949 in Edmonton Alberta. He graduated from BCIT in 1975, and in the same year began working for the BC Forest Service taking his first job in Campbell River.
His career with the Forest Service took him to many places fighting fires around the province. He started his family in 1982 and retired from the Forest Service in 2003. He married Barbara and they created over 25 years of memories including trips to Arizona in the winter soaking up the sun together.
Brian enjoyed the outdoors, and could be seen walking the Sea Walk every day it wasn't raining sideways. He loved golf, hockey, hunting and any activity that included his many good friends. He especially loved spending time with family, his children and grandchildren always bringing a smile to his face.
Brian is predeceased by his Father and Mother Donald and Madeline Bastock, and is survived by his wife Barbara, daughter Jennifer (Tyler) Abbott, son David (Paige) Bastock, stepson Paul Black (Sandy Neudorf), grandchildren Brayden, Claire, Luke, Olivia, step grandson Al, and sister in law Pam (Phil) Whyte.
