February 1, 1949 - March 22, 2015

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bob Coupal. Bob passed away peacefully at the Campbell River Hospital on March 22, 2015 after a short battle with cancer.

Bob was born February 1, 1949 in Timmins, Ontario. Bob is predeceased by his mother Jeannine Cotes and his father Gabriel Coupal.

He is survived by his wife and soulmate of 45 years, Mavis; sons John Blaney (Lydia), Fred Coupal, Donald Coupal; daughter Mary French (Gord); grandchildren Jordan French, Dylan French, Marlene Blaney, Todd French, Robert Blaney, Ty French and Braedon Coupal-Harding. Bob's world revolved around his grandchildren. Bob is survived by 7 siblings: Paul St. Jean (Brenda), Frank Coupal (Joan), Sue Del Casino (Adrian), Diane Klingbell (Ed), Judy Battistuz (Mazio),

Paula Bell (Ron), Nicole Fabbro (Eric) and many more nieces and nephews who he adored.

Bob being the entrepreneur that he was, he started many companies but the one he was most passionate about was Bob's Floors. He worked hard to provide a great life for his loved ones. Bob retired in 2012 and he and Mavis became snowbirds, going to Arizona for the winters. Bob's only hobby was golf and he loved golf. He and Mavis enjoyed the warm days south until Bob was no longer able to golf.

The family would like to thank the compassion shown by the home care nurses, the paramedics, and the hospital staff in emergency and the third floor. In lieu of flowers, a contribution to the Campbell River Hospice Society would be gratefully appreciated.

A Celebration of Bob's Life will be held at the Campbell River Maritime Heritage Centre on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 11:00am.
