Blair Lindsay Stewart was born on October 15th 1920 in Willen, Manitoba and passed away in Campbell River, British Columbia on April 9th 2011.

Survived by Gladys (Olmstead) his wife of 65 years, daughters Marilyn Philipowich of Porcupine Plain, SK, Wendy Squire of Campbell River, BC; Grand-children Lance (Cyndi) Alexander of Prince Albert, SK; Jason (Jana) Alexander of Porcupine Plain, SK; Tammylin Ormandy of Nanaimo, BC; Great Grandchildren Kelsey, Brody, Kayla, Tyrell, Grant, Carter, Hazen, Darcy, and several nephews and nieces and two sisters-in-law.

Pre-deceased by his parents Alec and Mabel Stewart; brother Clayton and wife Violet; son Hazen Blair Stewart, two great-grandchildren and George Squire (son-in-law).

Blair was very well known in the Community for the last 45 years. He was a member of the Open Heart Society and involved in Square Dancing. He was a veteran of WWII and loved fishing and camping at near-by lakes.

A Memorial Service to Celebrate the Life of Blair Lindsay Stewart will be held at Sutton’s Funeral Chapel, 502 South Dogwood Street, Campbell River, on Thursday April 14th 2011 at 2:00pm. Interment will take place in Durban, Manitoba at a later date.
