Beverley May Wattie

February 14, 1930-February 2, 2013

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our loving mother and wife, Beverley Wattie. Bev was born on February 14, 1930 and passed away at Campbell River Hospital, Saturday evening, February 2nd, 2013.

Bev was predeceased by her infant son Alan, her adult daughter Diana and her brother Harold.

Mom was an amazing woman, who exhibited wonderful Godly qualities that were an inspiration to all that knew her. Mom exhibited wonderfully to us the fruits of the spirit, as she was selfless, joyful, kind, forgiving, peaceful and giving. She was as the book of Proverbs, chapter 31 describes the virtuous woman whose worth was far above rubies.

Mom was always putting others first, herself last. She gave her all to her family and friends, right up to her passing on Saturday.

We miss her terribly, but we rejoice in knowing she is more alive today than ever as she has entered God’s presence to enjoy the place that He has prepared for her.

We are grateful for the life that Mom shared with us all. Family and friends, we thank you for all your great support and kindness that many have already expressed in this time of sorrow. Thank you to you all.

Bev leaves behind her husband of almost 60 years, Bob, her daughter Linda and husband Craig, son Doug (Shelly), grandchildren, Ben and Megan.

Once again thank you to the abundance of many friends she shared life with these past 57 years in Campbell River. For those who wish to say their goodbyes to Bev, there will be a memorial service held on Friday, February 8th at St. Peter’s Anglican Church at 2p.m.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Campbell River Hospital Foundation in Bev’s memory would be appreciated.
