Betty Julia Riel passed away peacefully on Saturday,
December 12th at the Campbell River Hospital. She
was born on December 18, 1944, in Prince Albert Saskatchewan. She was pre-deceased by her Mom, Mary, Dad, George, brothers, John and Dick and sister Alice. She will be dearly missed by her husband, Fred, and two sons Derek ( Courtney) and Dan (Jeanette). Betty also will be missed by her brother, Dave and (Marilyn) Welychko, nephews Brett (Suzanne), Jared, Grant , Levi and nieces Rhonda, and Wendy, sister in law Claire. She had 3 grandchildren, Genevie, Clark, and Gage, with a fourth on the way. Betty has enriched the lives of many around her with her loving and positive nature.
Thanks to the staff at the Sunshine Lodge and New Horizons for caring for Betty the recent few years.
There will be a memorial for Betty at the Kingdom Hall
of Jehovah's Witnesses in Campbell River on Saturday
December 19th at 2pm.
