March 25, 2007

SCOTT,

Bernard (Bud)

Melton John

It is with deep regret, we share with you the passing of Bernard (Bud) Melton John Scott. Born on December 17, 1954 in Campbell River, he passed away on March 25, 2007 at the Campbell River Hospital after a courageous fight with liver cancer.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Judy, son Will, daughter Tia (Arlo), grandson Jaden and Jaden's brothers, Philip & Samuel, Dad Bill, sisters & brothers, Wendy, Berna (Bert), Bill (Judy), MaryEllen (Tom), Rob (Hilda), Faye (Dan); brothers & sisters-in-law, Joyce (Ted) Howard (Sue), Larry, Pat (Tim), and Shirley, many nieces and nephews; best friends, Don and Ray and many many other friends, you all know who you are.

He was predeceased by his Mother, Bernice, niece, Janet, nephews, Wade and Randy, brother-in-law, Bill, Mom & Dad MacDonald and sister-in-law, Sylvia.

Bud was a colourful character; he lived life to the fullest. He had a caring nature and loved to tease, entertaining his family and friends with a wonderful sense of humour and a wit that was not easily matched. He loved hunting, camping, boating, being with family and friends and making sure you knew he cared about you. But his true passion was getting on his 1700 Road Star Yamaha and riding off where ever his heart took him. He spent most of his career as a machine operator in the forest industry interspersed with odd jobs such as bartending, cab driving, and as a businessman. He did whatever it took to take care of his family. The last couple of years he spent driving truck across Canada and throughout BC.

He will be so missed by all of us!!! He has gone to be with the Lord and resting in Jesus' arms.

A Memorial Service in celebration of Bud's life will be held on April 7, 2007, at 1:00PM, at the Campbell River Baptist Church, 260 S. Dogwood.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in memory of Bud, to the Campbell River Hospital Foundation (for the North Island Liver Services), 381 2nd Avenue, Campbell River BC, V9W 3V1; or the Esperanza Ministries Society, Box 449, Quathiaski Cove, BC V0P 1N0.
