It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, son, uncle and dear friend. Basil passed away peacefully in his home in Black Creek, B.C.

Basil was born and grew up in Kentville, Nova Scotia. He has also resided in PEI, Vancouver, Arizona and Vancouver Island.

Basil was a chef who was passionate about food and cooking, which led him to his budding “Spice Cowboy” business. Basil was best known for his sense of humour and unforgettable laugh. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered.

Basil is survived by his parents Howard and Doleina (Hill) Parker, sisters Patricia Parker (Timothy Schofield) and Grace Parker (Randy Power), two nieces, three nephews and one great nephew. Cremation has taken place and there will be a service at White’s Funeral Home in Kentville, Nova Scotia on Sunday, October 12th at 2:00 pm. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society Research Institute, 55 St. Clair Avenue W., Suite 300, Toronto, Ontario M4V 2Y7, or the charity of your choice.
