Barbara Kovacs ( Matthews)
Nov. 8, 1927 – June 28, 2013
Mom passed away after a long battle with cancer with her girls at her side. Predeceased by Doug Matthews, daughter Charlene Matthews, husband Marton Kovacs, grandson Jason Maximick. Loved and missed by Maureen (Dan), Barbara (Henry), Rose (Larry), Nadine, Lorna (George), Cindy (Harold) and Lorraine (Bob), 20 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter.
Mom was born and raised in Scunthorpe, England. Came to Canada as a war bride in 1946. She had lived in Campbell River for over 60 years. Family wishes to thank palliative care nurses on 3rd floor north, Dr. Nelson and Dr. Auger.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday July 14th, 2013 at 2:00pm at 825 Evergreen Rd, Campbell River. Flowers gratefully declined, if friends so wish donations may be made to the Campbell River Hospital.
