December 23, 1949 - August 25, 2019
It is with a heavy heart we share that Balbir Singh Toor passed away at Surrey Memorial Hospital on Sunday August 25, 2019 at the age of 69. Balbir was born on December 23, 1949 and raised in his Village of Dhaliwal, India. Balbir arrived in Vancouver on March 10, 1972. Upon arrival, he navigated the interior of BC spending time in 100 Mile House and finally landing in Campbell River which was home for over 30 years. In 2004, Balbir relocated to Surrey.
As a millworker, Balbir worked very hard throughout his life building an amazing life for his family. His generosity to his family and friends will never be forgotten. After a long, courageous battle with diabetes and kidney disease he is finally at peace. Balbir is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Palo; daughter Sandip (Bob); son Amandip (Deserae); son Manjinder (Randeep). He will be remembered for his sense of humour, zest for life, his infectious laughter and his love for sweets. A loving and incredibly caring husband, father and loyal friend - he will forever be in our hearts.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 31, 2019 in the Riverside Funeral Home at 7410 Hopcott Rd, Delta, followed by Prayer Services at 2:00 pm at the York Gurdwara Sahib in Surrey.
