Passed away peacefully at New Horizons. Audrey is survived by her loving family; Tom (Laurie) Weir, Cheryl (Bud) Taylor, & Bob (Sharon) Weir, grandchildren Jodelene, Michael, Jane, Megan, Corinna & Renee and her great grandchild Mason, sisters Joy (Ray) Sharpe, & Madge Macleod, brother Renner Hamilton, sisters-in-law Dolly Hamilton, & Rita Weir and many nieces, nephews & cousins.
Audrey was predeceased by her husband Cecil Weir (2003), parents Fred & Nell Hamilton (1963) and brothers Webster & Ross (1993).
Audrey was born & raised in Ochre River Manitoba, joined the Royal Canadian Air Force (Women's Division) in 1942 & served in Canada during WWII.
She married Cecil in 1945 & they moved with their young family
to Campbell River in 1957.
Audrey was a member of the Nell Hamilton United Church Women's Group.
She will be missed.
The family would like to thank the caregivers, nurses and staff of New Horizons during her last year and a bit & Ironwood Place for the two years prior to that for the loving care they provided Mom.
Donations in memory of Audrey may be made to the CR Hospital Foundation.
A service celebrating Audrey's life will be held at 1p.m. on Saturday January 15, 2011 at the United Church 415 Pinecrest, Campbell River.
