LARSEN,

Audrey Edith

Audrey Larsen (nee Hartt) passed away peacefully with family by her side at Hospice in Victoria. Predeceased by her brother Roland (Eileen) Hartt, she is survived and will be missed tremendously by her loving husband Sid, daughter Erica (Ian), son Lars (June), sister Margaret (Fred) Birkenhead, numerous other family members through marriage, 5 nieces, 3 great-nieces, 1 great-nephew, twin great-great-nephews, as well as many friends and acquaintances whose life she touched. Audrey will be fondly remembered for her common sense approach to life which she dearly cherished, for her unique sense of humour that helped her get through her life’s many challenges, and her uncanny ability to always remember important dates and special occasions for friends and family.Audrey was profoundly grateful for the outstanding medical support and the ‘Gift of Life’ of a lung transplant. These rather amazing blessings enabled her to add an extra decade of fond memories and treasured life experiences to her somewhat shortened, but fully-lived life. At Audrey’s request there was no funeral or formal memorial service, but rather her cremated remains would be scattered near her home town of Campbell River to join those of her beloved Aunt Betty (Elizabeth Dionne) at Shelter Point by her grandparents’ (McGimpsey) original homestead. Friends and relatives are invited to attend an informal celebration of Audrey’s life to be held at 2851 Seaview Road (Victoria) on Saturday, December 11th from 2:00 — 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Audrey’s memory to your charity of choice.
