Arnold Thomas George
Born September 24th, 1924, passed away gently July 30th, 2003, in Campbell River. Arnold is survived by his wife Cecile; sister Margaret; son Guy; daughter Georgia; daughter-in-law Sue; son-in-law Phillip; grandchildren Soren, Meghan, and Ruth; great-grandchild Xenia; brothers-in-law Maurice and Marcel, step-sister Micky, step-brother Malcolm, and nieces Joanne, Jacqui, Jill, and Janet. Raised in Vancouver and having worked in Quebec and the Queen Charlotte Islands, he spent most of his adult life working in logging operations in coastal BC and Alaska, retiring to Campbell River in 1993. Remembered for his many endearing qualities- particularly his good humor, generosity, love of the outdoors and animals, industry, innovation, and curiosity- he will be missed dearly by many whose lives he touched. No service will be held; instead, a gathering of family and friends will celebrate his life privately. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
