Our family is deeply saddened to announce the death our Mum Anne Barton. She passed away at the Campbell River Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Anne was born in Fredericton New Brunswick and moved to BC in 1964 with the love of her life Howard, six children and a dog. Once in BC she completed her family with the addition of her seventh child. Anne was a strong independent and patient woman. The most important things to her were faith and family. Anne loved pets, she loved to garden, and was an avid knitter supplying hundreds of beautiful items to St. Patrick's Parish every year.
Anne is predeceased by her husband Howard, her daughter Charlene Gregory, her parents Ernest and Mary Dobbelsteyn, and brothers Ernest, Gerald and Francis Dobbelsteyn.
Anne will be dearly missed by her children Debbie (Bill) Block, Chris (Sandy) Barton, Kathy (Laurie) Freeman, Rick Barton, Steve Barton and Darren (Rhonda) Barton, her son-in-law Kevin Gregory, her 19 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She will also be greatly missed by her brother Joseph (Mary) Dobbelsteyn and her sister Pauline (Bob) Mott, as well as many other family members and friends.
The family wishes to thank Dr.'s Peter and Simon Friderichs, Campbell River Hospital staff and Community Health Services.
A prayer vigil will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church at 34 South Alder St. Wednesday Sept. 11th at 7 pm with Funeral Mass to be held Sept. 12th Thursday at 11 am.
Flowers gratefully declined. Donations made in Mums memory to St. Patrick's Parish Building Fund would be greatly appreciated.
