Anne Elizabeth Prystupa

March 26, 2015

With great sadness we announce the sudden

passing of wife, mother and friend, Anne Prystupa. Anne had the loving, caring heart of an angel, but on March 26th, 2015 it was just too tired to carry on.

Born in a small farmhouse outside of Tyndall MB, Anne's farm girl life came to an end when she moved to the big city lights of Winnipeg where she met Ted and their adventure out west began.

With a stop in Edmonton, Burnaby and Pitt Meadows, a summer visit to Campbell River

introduced Ted to salmon fishing and Anne to fish scales and fridge smokers. They were both hooked and immediately relocated to Campbell River in 1976.

Anne never regretted her adventurous move to the West Coast and the Island. Known for her famous big crunch dill pickles, Anne smoked, pickled, canned, blanched, and froze local meat, fruits and vegetables all year round. She never turned family, friend, foe or even strangers away. She happily welcomed and fed every guest lucky enough to find themselves sitting at her table.

Survived by her husband, Ted, her son Dean (Bridgette), her daughter Kimberly, her son Chad (Sandy) and her two beloved grandsons Alex and Louis, Anne will be painfully missed by all who knew her. We lovingly wish her well on her next adventure.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 3rd, 1:00 pm at Silver King Lodge (2920 Spit Rd, Campbell River BC V9W 5B6) on the Tyee Spit.
