JAMES, Amy Lydia

Amy Lydia James passed away peacefully on March 29, 2014 at the age of 89. She is survived by her husband Robert and two sons, Al and Bill (Margaret) and predeceased by her son, Frank. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Chris (Christine), Robert (Nadine), Lisa (Ryan), Kim (Matt) and Dave (Jenny), as well as five great grandchildren, Braydon, Rhianna, Alexa, Kaelen and Anamaria. Mom was born in Malta, on July 15, 1924 and raised in London, England. She immigrated to Canada to marry Dad in 1948, and made the move to Campbell River in 1955. She was employed with the British Military College of Science during the war years as a Secretary. Mom had a very good memory and could recall events as far back as four years of age. She loved music and playing the piano. She played the organ for the Eastern Star in her early years in Campbell River. She also loved to garden in her younger years, and has always enjoyed spending time with her children and all of her grandkids at every family gathering. The family would like to thank the staff at the Campbell River Hospital and Dr Douglas for all of their support. She will be greatly missed.
