The family sadly announces the passing of Dad/Grandpa at Campbell River Hospital October 7/2017.
Predeceased by his wife Sally September 3/2014. Survived by sons Gary (D'Arcy), Bruce(Helen).
Grand children Brett (Shannon), Calvin (Briana), Kyle (Amber), Sara (Mike). Great grand children Kalla, Beckett, Leah, Ava.
Al is also survived by Sally's children and families which were an important part of his family, 3 sisters and 1 brother.
Al moved to Campbell River from Stoney Plain AB in 1958. After being employed a few years at Elk Falls Mill he started his backhoe business which later became known as Al & Sons Excavating and Trucking. In 1990 he semi-retired and enjoyed RV-ing and traveling with Sally.
He referred to himself as the "gofor" as he continued to help out in the family business.
A private gathering in celebration of life will take place.
Special thank you to the many care givers that assisted Dad as his health declined.
