Allan (Al) Hoekstra
Allan (Al) Hoekstra, of Chilliwack, BC, went to be with his Lord on October 30, 2017 at 77 years of age after a short illness.
Al is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Audrey; daughters Elaine Jenkins (Jim), Judy Brouwer (Steve); grandchildren, Megan, Sarah, Adrianna, Nathan and Sophie; siblings Jane Dykstra, Alice Vissia (Theo) and sister-in-law Rinnie Hoekstra.
He was born in Kollum, The Netherlands on June 23, 1940 and immigrated to Canada in 1952. He enjoyed more than 60 years living in Port Alberni while working at BC Hydro for 30+ years. He was an active member of his church, loved sports, and spending quality time with his grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Cornerstone CRC of Chilliwack, 9800 McNaught Rd. on Tuesday, November 7 at 2:00 P.M.
