It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gerry Lyons. He is survived by Chrissie his loving wife of 58 years; Brother - Wayne (Christine); Sister-in-law - Anna; Children - Linda (Bob), Nadine (Jack), Stan (Valarie), Karen (Travis), Gary (Yolande), Greg (Beth); 12 grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Gerry will be remembered for his generosity, humour, wit, honesty, integrity and persistence. Always leading by example, he was a great friend and mentor to many. He first came to BC from Ontario after serving in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II. He pursued a career in the logging industry. Gerry was known to be one of the last high-riggers in the province. His fulfilling life was attributed to his family, friends, and his passion for West Coast logging, fishing and boating. Gerry will be sadly missed by all who knew and respected him.
