Albert passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at the Campbell River Hospital after a valiant battle with cancer.

Pre-deceased by father Charles Wilson, and mother Francis (nee)Lagis, and brothers; William, Patrick, James (Goo), sisters; Molly (Robinson), Mary(George), Margaret (Maggie)(Joseph), and Helen (Hunt). He is also predeceased by son in law Gordon Langdon—Davies and granddaughter Krystal Langdon-Davies.

Albert is survived by his loving companion and wife of 33 year’s, Marge. Also survived by Alberta (Daniel) Billy, Karen (Allen) Thompson, Mary (Gerry) Wolfram, Keith (Geraldine) Wilson, Margaret Linda Cliffe, Albert Jr. (Audrey) Wilson, former wife Ruby (Hovell).

Also mourning Albert are his stepchildren: Teresa Burgoyne, (David), Garry Lagos, (Debbie), Wayne Lagos, and Linda Gallagher, (Howie).

Albert leaves behind many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren as well as a multitude of friends.

A respected elder in the First Nations community, Albert lived a long and productive life with pride. Over his 84 years he worked the coast and had many experiences. As a logger in the early days, a fisherman in the heydays, and as a captain, who trained many a skipper, in the later days.

He was a big man, outsized only by his zest for life. Always quick to make a joke or the first to lend a helping hand, Albert was a man with a compassionate heart and a wise and calming nature.

Albert will be deeply missed forever.

A memorial service will be held at The Thunderbird Hall Saturday, August 28, 2004 at 2pm. Final viewing Saturday August 28 10am-noon. At Sutton's Funeral Chapel.
