A longtime resident of Quadra Island and Campbell River, Alban passed away peacefully at Broadmead Lodge in Victoria, BC.
Born in Bathurst, New Brunswick to Nelida and Clement Bourdage, the first of their 14 children.
During his full and adventurous 99 years, Alban served overseas during WW II, and explored many other professions and enterprises. Married Marion Pennington in 1957, and was a loving and devoted husband until her death in 1971.
He is survived by his sister Yvonne White and brothers Armand, Fernand and Guy Bourdage, daughter Wendy Bourdage, granddaughter Ty-Leigh Shannon and great-grandchildren Darwin and Alice Shannon.
He will be lovingly remembered by family and friends as a kind man with independent thought and a quick mind till the end.
A Memorial Service is being held at 2:00 pm on June 3, 2017 at the Quadra Island Cemetery with refreshments after at the Quadra Island Legion Branch # 154.
