Agnes Bridget Coley

April 1, 2016

It is with great sorrow that our family announces the death of Agnes Bridget Coley Agnes passed peacefully on April 1st, 2016 in the Campbell River Hospital. She will be remembered with so much love by her son Tony and his wife Elaine, her sister Rose, her grandchildren: Simon (wife Corri), Maria (husband Mike), Matthew (wife Melissa), and Rebecca (husband Lee), and her great-grandchildren Jack, Ellaina, Nathan, Liam, Lucas and Lily.

Agnes lived a long and full life. She was born in Manchester, England in 1920, and lived through the war years. She married Ted - the love of her life - and they moved to Canada in 1973. After Ted died in 1982, Agnes devoted much of her life to volunteering in the soup kitchen at St. Andrew’s Cathedral, Victoria. She became “Mom” to many in the street community and was always ready to offer a hug and an empathetic ear to all in need.

A Vigil for Agnes will be held at St. Andrew’s Cathedral at 7pm on Thursday, April 7.

The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Andrew’s Cathedral at 12 noon on Friday, April 8. A reception will follow in the hall of the Cathedral.

For those inclined, please consider a donation to “Our Place” or the soup kitchen at St. Andrew’s Cathedral in lieu of flowers.
