Norman James "Jim" Decker born in Vancouver, BC, on Dec 28th 1927 passed away peacefully at the age of 90 after a wonderful, fulfilling life.

Jim was raised and lived in Pemberton, BC until his retirement. He worked as a logger for over forty years; a career that he loved.

Jim moved to Campbell River, BC in his retirement where he continued his passion for flying, fishing, gardening and as of late, curling.

Growing up in a small town as a member of a pioneer family, community commitment was instilled in Jim at an early age. Jim was actively involved and took pride in giving back in a number of volunteer organizations in both Pemberton and Campbell River.

Jim is survived by his wife Mavis- "Darlin", his daughter Rene (Herb) from Squamish, BC, his son Alan from Campbell River, BC and son Gary (Jody) from Grande Prairie, AB, his seven Grandchildren; Kody, Courtney (Jordan), Joel, Kristi, Curtis, Erin and Kyle; his brother in law Arvin Starks, sister in law Flo (Ley) and his extended family of Bobbi (Al) and Wendy (Richard), and his many nieces and nephews across Canada that loved him.

A sincere thank you to Dr. Nelson and for the loving care and support given by everyone at both the Hospital and New Horizons. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

We love you. Go get the big one Captain Hook!
