VILLAGE OF TAHSIS PROPERTY FOR SALE (167 HEAD BAY ROAD) NOTICE OF DISPOSITION Pursuant to Section 26 of the Community Charter

Take notice that the Village of Tahsis (the “Village”), in accordance with Sections 26 and 94 of the Community Charter, intends to dispose of the fee simple interest in the land and improvements of the parcel located at 167 Head Bay Road in Tahsis, BC, which has a legal description of:

Parcel Identifier: 000-228-460

LOT A, DISTRICT LOTS 14, 22 AND 600, NOOTKA DISTRICT, PLAN 33135

(the “Property”).

A copy of Plan 33135 is available from the Chief Administrative Officer for the Village. The Property is approximately 0.607 acres (2,456.44 m2) in area, and is currently vacant. The Property is presently is designed Mixed Use and zoned Public Assembly-Institutional Zone One (PA-1). The Property is connected to electrical services and includes a former fire hall building and a parking lot. The Property is located within the Anthropogenic Hazard Development Permit Area and the Flood Hazard Development Permit Area as identified in the Village of Tahsis Official Community Plan and is designated as “floodplain” pursuant to the Village of Tahsis Floodplain Management Bylaw No. 635, 2020, and is therefore subject to development restrictions and requirements. Additional information regarding the Property including a disclosure package for the Property is available from the Chief Administrative Officer at the address provided below.

The Village requires that potential purchasers make offers to purchase the Property as follows:

1. The offer to purchase should be made using the form of agreement available from the Chief Administrative Officer at the following address: The Village of Tahsis, 977 South Maquinna Drive, Tahsis BC V0P 1X0, Tel: (250) 934-6344, Fax: (250) 934-6622, Email: MTatchell@villageoftahsis.com;

2. The offer to purchase should be accompanied by a cheque payable to “The Village of Tahsis” in the amount of $2,000, representing the deposit payable under the offer to purchase (the cheque will be returned if the offer is not accepted); and

3. The completed offer to purchase should be received by the Chief Administrative Officer before 4:00 p.m. on January 31, 2025 at the following address: The Village of Tahsis, 977 South Maquinna Drive, Tahsis BC V0P 1X0.

The submission of an offer to purchase creates no right to acquire the Property and no obligation for the Village to dispose of the Property. For certainty, the Village is not obligated to accept any offer to purchase. Viewings of the Property may be scheduled by request, at the Chief Administrative Officer’s discretion, prior to January 21, 2025.
