Coastal Animal Control Services of BC will not be renewing our Animal Control services agreement with the City of Campbell River and surrounding areas effective July 1, 2024.
It has been a great honour and privilege to serve the citizens of the greater Campbell River region over the past 11 years, and we would like to extend our sincerest thanks to the City of Campbell River, Strathcona Regional District, the We Wai Kai and Wei Wai Kum First Nations, the RCMP, and local community groups dedicated to the welfare of animals. Your continued support in our common pursuit of public safety, and in promoting responsible pet ownership has been deeply appreciated.
The City of Campbell River will be assuming Animal Control duties, and our Officers will be working closely with city staff to ensure a smooth transition of services occurs. All animal-related bylaw enforcement matters should be directed to the City of Campbell River Bylaw Department as of July 1st, 2024.
