"I am thrilled to accept the nomination as the B.C. Green Party candidate for the North Island," said Moen. "It is wonderful to see an immensely qualified and engaged advocate like Sue choosingto stand up for her community in this election," said Andrew Weaver, leader of the B.C. Green Party. "From her incredible wealth of experience in the non-profit sector and beyond, it is clear that she is a strong leader with a deep commitment to her community. She has a thorough understanding of the systemic issues so many people in our province face. Her management skills and deep compassion for others make her the ideal candidate to represent the North Island in B.C.'s Legislature."

Moen currently resides in Black Creek and is active in the social services, environmental and political communities on the North Island.

She is currently self-employed as a non-profit consultant and dog care provider and as a community worker with the street-engaged populations of Campbell River.
