The Campbell River Storm are starting its new season off on the right foot.
The Storm, which opened its 2015/16 season at home Friday evening at Rod Brind'Amour Arena, defeated the Nanaimo Buccaneers 7-3 on Friday and followed that performance up with a 7-0 lashing of the Comox Valley Glacier Kings on Sunday.
Prior to Friday's puck drop, members of last season's championship team took to centre ice to show off their trophies as winners of the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League, the provincial championship and the western championship.
