Howie Meeker, 92, acknowledges a standing ovation he got Saturday night at the Howie Meeker Golf Classic Auction and Banquet held at Thunderbird Hall.
Meeker was inducted in the Special Olympics Hall of Fame as a builder in acknowledgement of his support of the Special Olympics fundraiser held for the past 28 years in Campbell River. He said of all the Halls of Fame inductions he's had, this one meant the most.
