A police dive team aiding in the search for a missing man drew attention on the waters off Oak Bay Wednesday (Dec. 6).

Residents noted the marked Saanich police boat near McNeill Bay, in the search for a man missing since Nov. 26.

Timothy Keeling, 38, was last seen Nov. 26, in downtown Victoria and his truck was located in the 300 block of Beach Drive in Oak Bay.

Saanich police ask anyone who was at McNeill Bay in Oak Bay on Nov. 26 after 4 p.m. to contact them in the search for a man whose vehicle was found near the waterfront.

“The Saanich Police Major Crimes Unit have reason to believe that the last known sighting of Mr. Keeling was in the area of McNeill Bay. As such, the Saanich Police Dive Team was deployed to assist with the investigation,” said Saanich police spokesperson Damian Kowalewich.

Keeling is 5’11” and about 200 pounds with a medium build. He has brown hair and blue eyes.

Police say there is concern for his well-being as this is out of character.

Anyone who may have seen Keeling since Nov. 25 or may know his whereabouts is asked to call Saanich police at 250-475-4321.
