Residents hold off suspected invaders

Two young men are facing charges after an attempted home invasion. According to RCMP, the incident occurred Feb. 17, at an apartment on Dogwood Street.

Two young men are facing charges after an attempted home invasion

According to RCMP, the incident occurred Feb. 17, at an apartment on Dogwood Street. Police were called to the suite around 9:30 p.m. Residents told officers two males had attempted to force their way in through the front door, but they were able to keep them out and called 911.

The suspects fled on foot but were arrested a short time later at a nearby residence by the RCMP's Community Response Unit.

One of the residents in the apartment was a pregnant women and she required some medical treatment for undisclosed reasons. She was later released from Campbell River hospital.

John Nelson Enns, 20, of Campbell River is charged with break and enter with intent, and wearing a disguise. The second suspect is a youth and cannot be named.He is charged with break and enter, and breach of a court order.
