The annual Campbell River St. John Ambulance 1st Aid competition attracted the most teams ever for the 25th edition of the event on Saturday. Twenty-four teams participated in the provincial junior-intermediate first aid competition held at Southgate School.

“Twenty-four teams from all over B.C. came and competed in three different first aid scenarios on each level,” said Vern Coward, Campbell River St. John Ambulance chapter president. “It’s beeen a great event and we’re looking forward to No. 26.”

Competitors tested their skills in different disaster scenarios under the watchful eyes of judges.
