The British Columbia Crime Stoppers Advisory Board has named Cyriel DeBruyne and Quality Foods as their Corporate Partner of the Year.
Campbell River Crime Stoppers nominated Quality Foods for the award because of Cyriel DeBruyne’s longtime support of the organization and its Jail and Bail. Every year since the event started, DeBruyne has been the top fundraiser, generating a total of nearly $5,000 for the cause.
Campbell River Crime Stoppers President Judy Shepley said that, “Quality Foods is one of Campbell River’s best corporate citizens, always ready to lend a hand to any number of local charities. Our thanks and congratulations go to Cyriel and Quality Foods for all the good work they do in our community - and for Crime Stoppers.”
Crime Stoppers is an independent non-profit society and registered charity managed by a civilian Board of Directors working in partnership with the police, the media and local citizens. Crime Stoppers is a vehicle that allows citizens to anonymously supply the police with information about a crime or potential crime of which they have knowledge without fear of reprisal.
The British Columbia Crime Stoppers Advisory Board is the umbrella organization for the thirty individual community-based Crime Stoppers programs in the province and provides standards, communication, training, dispute resolution, legal support, insurance, promotion, and other similar items that ensure the security, productivity and longevity of all of the community programs.
