The police dog apprehended a 21-year-old man accused of stabbing his brother.

The incident occurred on Sunday, around 11 a.m., when police were called to a residence located in the 500 block of S. Alder St.

Upon arrival, officers found a man who had sustained minor wounds to his leg and chest.

The suspect, the man’s brother, had fled the home, but was found a short distance away by the police dog.

He was taken into custody without incident and is now facing potential charges of assault with a weapon and possessing a weapon.

 

Lock up those sheds, RCMP warn

 

Last week police received four reports of thefts from attached garages or sheds.

It is believed the offences are related, and easily accessible items were targeted.

RCMP advise taking extra precautions and the extra moment to lock up your property in order to protect it from thieves.

Police arrested two impaired drivers and issued one roadside suspension. Police attended four motor vehicle collisions that resulted in minor injuries or property damage.
